Pining for a New Forest Wedding Venue?

Picture of a road in the New ForestWhen it comes to your special day, you’re always going to want to set the ceremony and reception in the most picturesque locations possible, and that’s why many brides have been looking at a New Forest wedding venue. So the question is what makes weddings in the New Forest so appealing to so many brides?

Let’s start with a very brief history lesson – don’t worry, there’s no quiz at the end of this – so that you can get a bit of a feel for the history of the area, and some of the things that make it so unique.

The New Forest is in Hampshire, and is one of the few locations in the country to remain virtually untouched since the late 1870’s; well, originally it had a number of settlements and farms, but that was all to change. William the first turned the land into a ‘New Forest’ in the 1070’s when the forest that he previously used for hunting started to be developed. With that in mind it was decided that this land should stay unchanged, and the act of 1877 gave rights to the commoners, and also stopped encroachment on the forest.

The New Forest retained a lot of its natural beauty and wildlife because of these acts, and in March of 2005 it was finally granted the status of a National Park. All of these things are reasons why the New Forest is a perfect wedding venue. There, now that wasn’t too bad – as far as history lessons go – was it?

Of course, just because you’ve picked a New Forest wedding venue, and the surrounding area is unspoilt, it doesn’t mean that you’re going to be out in the wilderness, and have none of the things around that are needed to make this the ideal location for your wedding. There’s no point in having a location that conjures up mystical imagery, if you can’t actually get the whole of your wedding party to it, is there?

When it comes to weddings in the New Forest, and New Forest wedding venues that are easily accessible, then one of the best is the picturesque Gaddens Manor house and grounds. This stunning location is going to make those dreams that you had when you were a small girl, come true. The fact that you’ll be able to erect a marquee that will cater for up to 200 people will appeal to the adult you, too.

If you do choose Gaddens as your New Forest wedding venue, then you’ll also have plenty of wonderful spots where you can have those all important wedding photos taken, too. There are over 17 acres of grounds, and the walks are bound to take you to a clearing where you’ll find a magical setting for your photos, or, you can use the wonderful backdrop in Gadden’s garden.

If you’re now starting to see the potential of having your wedding in a natural, ancient, and still quite unspoilt part of the country, then New Forest wedding venues should be at the top of your list to get booked before too many other brides find out about this hidden gem, and beat you to that all important date.

The new forest is a perfect wedding venue, and it’s time for you to have a look at websites like New Forest Wedding Venue to see that for yourself. You really deserve the best on your special day, and Gaddens wedding venue is the sort of location to help make your wedding the perfect day that you’ve always dreamt of.

Gadden's garden looks South over woodland, which makes for spectacular photogaphs. Equally as important if you have a marquee, be sure to have 'windows' overlooking the garden and if blessed with a sultry evening, these can be rolled up not only to see but to hear the forest. Reply

One of the most enduring photos of my own wedding at Gaddens was taken with the woodland background of the New Forest from the rear lawn of this great venue. Reply
